The Katz Jewish Community Center (JCC), an agency of Jewish Federation of Southern NJ, seeks a part-time Librarian. The Librarian is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Library Management from book purchasing to maintaining a circulation system. Primary Responsibilities * Library collection is kept up to date. * Library volunteers are recruited, retained, and recognized. * Library related programs are developed to meet users' needs including managing the Next Chapter Book Club. * Librarian's expertise is utilized for the annual Arts, Books, and Culture festival in building book selection list and being the contact for local authors. * The library works within budget constraints. * Outside funding sources are always explored. * Partner with other Jewish libraries in the community * Timely response to consumer requests. * Effective marketing of library facilities is ongoing with knowledge of current trends and consumer needs. * They are knowledgeable about agency and able to respond appropriately with accurate information. * They participate in relevant agency wide and departmental activities. Qualifications * Master's Degree in Library Science preferred * Two years' experience in library system * Computer literacy * Good Organizational skills * Good customer service This is a part-time position.
