You can learn all of Jewish history from them! However, the teachers send the students into the library to get biographies on specific Israelis that I mentioned in the email. We have a small collection that include very old (from the 70s -- such as, Golda Meir, Theodore Herzl, Moshe Dayan) and are worn and tattered. They don't have to be politicians but we do need more bios of them and other prominent Israelis, past and present. There doesn't seem to be enough new books written on these people for elementary school students. We do have several new bios on Ilan Ramon or Netanyahu, for instance, but that's it!
