Hello Colleagues, Those of you in synagogue libraries, do you have any experience doing an inventory of your library? We are looking to do a complete inventory of our collection, a daunting prospect!
I'm interested in hearing from those who have done an inventory how you went about doing it. What was your process? Did you close the library? For how long? Did you have volunteers help? Students? How do you gently request patrons return all of their checked-out (and not-checked-out) library materials before the inventory? I'm going my research on it, but I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you!
