Ari you are right. I was in New Orleans, with many AJL members, in 1993 to push for a rescind of the Resolution on Israeli Censorship. In 2015 many of us went down to the Chicago convention center on a Shabbat during a huge snowstorm to try and stop another anti-Israel resolution pushed by SRRT. We were able to stop It. I thought it would be different this year with a new president who told us, when running as a candidate, how proud she was of her Jewish heritage. I guess I was naive and too trusting. Thanks for reminding me of the reality of ALA. Hopefully Emily Drabinski and her staff will not write anything. It will be okay

Do a search on the ALA website for resolutions about Gaza and then similarly about Israel. I don't know anything about the internal bureaucracy and organization of the ALA, but it seems that the Social Responsibilities Round Table (SRRT) is responsible for a lot of these types of resolutions, in which case you should really be careful what you wish for.
