Hello dear safranim and safraniyot,

I’m on a mission to encourage our public library system to publish reading
lists on Jewish perspectives that address topics such as Zionism, Jewish
history, Israel, and the current conflict—similar to how they present “the
other side”. For instance, the library’s “Recommended Books by Palestinian
Authors” includes books for children with a clear political slant:

In contrast, the Jewish authors list seems rather neutral, focusing primarily
on Jewish culture without much content on Israel, the Jewish connection to the
land, or Jewish
history:https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://wpl.winnipeg.ca/library/pdfs/downloadables/jewishauthors.pdf__;!!KGKeukY!3PnmRY442ZQXBgGK4IqzFE8iQhFraBCEFMt7TF_alp4Ftg5WL8A8eOXy0g8hKHLKi64Ywr0xy6qMWA290ge69KOMmbQ$

To provide them with more comprehensive resources, I was considering directing
them to recommended lists from AJL or similar reputable organizations. So far,
I’ve found the following:

Association of Jewish Libraries Books on Israel Press Release:

Book reviews from Camera:

Do any of you know of additional, updated lists from reputable Jewish
organizations, like AJL, that focus on these subjects?

If not, I believe creating and posting such a resource on AJL’s website would
be of utmost importance, as it could serve as a crucial advocacy tool.

I would like to see, for example, titles like “What does Israel mean to us? :
explaining to your tweens Israel's significance and moral standing” / by
Yisroel Juskowitz, “Under the rockets' glow : Shira's journey to couarge” by
Roman Sandler and similar included.

I truly appreciate any help or resources you can share to support this effort!
