I can't remember exactly how I did it. I believe that at the time my MLS was accepted by ALA, Perhaps that was not it, the face that the then dean and a senior facutly in the program both had PhD. From Berkeley's School of Library Science played a factor. However we are going in time to 1982. So much has changed since then.
