Marcus Lehmann was actually a 19th century Orthodox German rabbi. He wrote
historical fiction novels in an attempt to keep teenagers from turning to
Refirm Judaism by showing them the endurance of the Jewish nation through
the centuries.

Feldheim has indeed published translations of his novels, but they were not
the first (and it would be a stretch to call him an author with Feldheim!).
Honigson in the UK actually published the first English translations in the
1940s-50s. There are many versions and translations available - and yes,
they're still available for purchase from Feldheim! In new editions with
redesigned covers.

There are also graphic novel editions of his books published by Israeli
publishers and translated into English for American Haredi audiences.

Just a word of warning though: The novels' general structure isn't of great
literary quality (Lehmann was a rabbi first and a writer second), and they
also contain some pretty anti-Reform elements and plot points. There are
other versions available from the 1950s-1970s which might have left out the
more egregious parts, but I haven’t read those books so I don’t actually
know.

But here's Marcus Lehmann books on Feldheim's website:

Faith and Courage (containing two novels, Del Monte and The Pocketknife):

Also, if going the Haredi route is okay, the Strasbourg Saga series from
Artscroll (the new expanded versions, not the originals from the 1980s) are
in the same category as Lehmann's books - the author (Avner Gold, pseudonym
for Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Reinman) told me in an interview that his primary
goal for these books is to instill pride in Jewish (religious) perseverance
and resilience. Same word of warning about attitudes toward non-Haredi
Jews, though less prominent.
