No, I tried a manual, step-by-step, configuration :-(

Redoing the stuff with command `cabal install haskore` worked perfectly
(at least I was able to produce a MIDI file from your first example at
http://github.com/nfjinjing/haskore-guide/tree/master/doc/index.markdown
,
which seems like a good start ;-)

Thanks.

I quickly browsed the documentation of Cabal, starting from
http://www.haskell.org/cabal/.
I didn't find the FAQ (http://www.haskell.org/cabal/FAQ.html) very
instructive, but didn't have time (yet) to read the users guide
(http://www.haskell.org/cabal/release/cabal-latest/doc/users-guide/).

Is it a "good" information source?

Is there any other, possibly better, source somewhere else?
