#67: Mac Installer refuses to complete GHC installation request

I have kindly attached a screenshot in duplicate... note dim button in
lower right.
Since the only announced dependency was the 'Xcode tools' I reinstalled
them, downloading the latest from the Apple website ... and after all
that, sure enough the Installer gave me a live button. Is this what
happens if, say, Installer can't find the gcc, or something that's in the
xcode tools package?
I don't know what the defect was in the installation before that, if
that's what it was. The only thing I can think of is that it has four
users and I changed the administrative structure a bit a while back...
