Hello,
The GHC team makes the GHC installer: there should be a bug ticket filed
against upstream. So I've done so:

I'm also closing this ticket: hopefully future versions of the Haskell
platform will integrate better with the GHC installer, this is on my long-
term radar. This may sound like a cop-out, but please be patient with us:
the Macintosh installer system is like a fiendish magic puzzle which, when
solved, disappears in a puff of smoke to reveal to you your present:
failure and disappointment.
