or equal to" :)

...what about this:  pattern =< expr

... let!, perhaps, but that would probably be too
noisy for pattern guards? (also, we don't want to steal nice infix ops like <==)

I had suggested <<-
I wouldn't mind <-- or <== or the like.
I think any of these better suggest "similiarity to <- yet different".

(<= would have been perfect. Humph! They beat us to it.)
