In my opinion -- and you're all encouraged to disagree -- the best Hates are short, direct, pithy, cutting, and cathartic. Hit, run, move on.

Taken too far though, it loses that and tips over into mania, obsession, tedium, and eventually just plain willy-waving. Hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit, hit. Shit. Move nowhere.

The latter style of hate has drowned out the former.
