tcsh is hateful because csh is hateful as a scripting language. As an interactive shell it's no more hateful than any other. zsh is hateful because it's no more hateful a scripting langage than anything else that accepts bourne shell syntax, but it has so many extensions that scripts written by zsh users NEVER run in standard-ish shells without extensive hacking. Or is that programmer hate?
