However, before I start raising funds, I would be very curious to
find out about a different, not entirely idiotic workaround.
This is probably the only thing I prefer Solaris for over Linux. I use
zsh and its recursive descent wildcard and have generated truly
enormous commands lines even back on Solaris 2.6, which worked. Linux
doesn't seem to be so sporting unfortunately.
