That’s why my MUA asks me whether I want to reply to the list when I reply to an email from a list. I’m sorry if some other MUAs don’t, but it’s a personal decision what to use; apparently the people you write about are not considering this an important feature of their software, and so I lack to see why any mailing list should force this convenience down their throats.
