That is impressively broken. I would now be curious what happens when
Mail.app is configured to only show the text/plain portion, except that
Apple "helpfully" removed that option. Apparently I am wrong in wanting to
read just the text, and not the dancing hamsters and 72 point purple Comic
Sans.

Now I know about this "feature", I'm half-tempted to hack my MTA to rewrite
such Mail.app-emitted crud in flight. Just for the hell of it.
