What is your point?
It works in one particular MacOS app.
And even *without* those two rules it works, up to a point, in *all*
applications.
I regularly get email messages containing a list of things I need to do. I have
a window with that message open, switch to another app, and I can work in that
app without having to switch back to mail, and scroll the mail message with the
scroll wheel (yeah, I know) or with a two-finger guesture on the trackpad, all
without leaving the application I'm working in, the scroll focus follows the
mouse, my keyboard focus stays in whatever I'm typing in.
All this does NOT match your description of "focus follows mouse" to the letter, or even
roughly to the paragraph, but it's close enough for me to be useful. Your mileage may vary, and all
that. Keywords there are "for me".
Categorically stating it is "technically impossible" is fine if by that you mean "it
cannot match my specific description of what Focus Follows Mouse should be". I'll even agree
with you, and the points you made were good ones.
