Having mouse events and keyboard events go to different applications is a *feature*? That's some of the most pathological UI behavior I've ever heard of.
"mouse" is on the way out, didn't you hear? It's all "guesture" and such. These modern days, mouse movements are just petrified replacements for multi-touch guestures. With its own bucket of hate, of course. And guestures and such are all related to the "location" of the guesture. Which may be waaaay different from whereever the cursor for your typing happens to be. And guestures don't have to influence the location of the cursor in any way. It works for you, or you'll hate the guts of whoever came up with it, there doesn't seem to be much middle ground. Given how long the readers of this group have been around computers, I full expect (and understand) the hate to prevail on this one. I'll let the kids think it's cool, they'll be none the wiser... -John
