Hi Slava,

Indeed, the intent of making a C/C++ API is so virtually any
language binding will be possible, removing any practical
restrictions on client side integration options.

Of course Hadoop RPC, therefore tight integration with Java
and Hadoop platform, will remain and I'm confident that will
continue to be improved over time by Hadoop Core. "Native"
mapreduce applications that use HBase will want to use such
Java bindings of course.
