Hey, Travis. FWIW, I finally got my head around this. Looks good (although this
will mean I'll have to rebase a patch that I have in flight. :D)
(Tiny nitpick: Would you consider changing {{HCatRecordReader::initialize()}}
to use the {{hcatSplit}} variable you've introduced, rather than cast {{split}}
to {{HCatSplit}} again, later in {{initialize()}}?)
