Indeed this is my first time working with real data instead of phantom data. I am using solid angle formulation and Tikhonov regularization for the ODF reconstruction using spherical harmonics up to order 8.
By many maximas, I'm referring to how the ODFs look extremely jagged with 6 to 8 spikes. Using lower order spherical harmonics reduces this effect, but I'm hoping to resolve my issues without compromising angular resolution. It looks like I'll have to tune around parameters, or try another method of ODF reconstruction. Thanks for your response!
