Hi Pablo,
We aren't currently set up to distribute solid model (e.g. .iges) or
Stereolithography surface information (e.g. .stl) from HCP data. We do
create brain surfaces of different types, including white matter and pial
(outer cortical) surfaces in the GIFTI neuroimaging file format
(http://www.nitrc.org/projects/gifti/). If GIFTI files will work, I can
point you to the right data package(s) to download depending on what you
want to do. I am also asking our brain imaging software developers if they
know anything about converting the information in GIFTI files into one of
the formats you asked about and will let you know if they come up with
ideas.

Best,
Jenn

Comments:
 Dear HCP,

First at all, I really want to congrats you for this amazing work!
I and my colleges are focus on computational mechanics and we are willing to
use some of your data to carry out our research.
I have to admit that I am lost in this huge amount information that you
collect and post in the internet.
My question is: Is there the possibility of extracting solid model (e.g.
.iges) or surface information (e.g. .stl) from data?? I download the
workbench and related data. If so, It is possible to distinguish between
cortical and white matter?

Thanks and congrats again for this work!
Best Regards,
Pablo
