Hi Christine,
In the Tutorial Dataset section at the beginning of the Workbench 1.0 tutorial, we explain: Because of their large size (33 GB each) the two group-average dense functional connectome files for R468 are remotely accessed in ConnectomeDB. For those that would like a local copy, these dense connectome files and the Group-PCA Eigenmaps that can be used to create them locally using wb_command, are also available for download from the WU-Minn HCP Data--500 Subjects project <https://db.humanconnectome.org/data/projects/HCP_500> page in ConnectomeDB. Depending on your download speed, you can try downloading the two 33GB files, or you can make them locally with the Eigenmaps (~5GB for both): wb_command -cifti–correlation <PCA Series> <dense connectome> -fisher-z If you have less than ~35GB of RAM, use the -mem-limit option to limit the RAM usage. These files are dense connectivity files in CIFTI format (*.dconn.nii). The CIFTI format is similar to the NIFTI-2 file format with an additional XML header, hence the “.nii” ending. Currently Workbench is the only program that can read CIFTI files for analysis or visualization, although developers for several other programs are working on supporting CIFTI in future. What kinds of analyses do you want to do? Other threads on the list <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]> might have more info on what to do once you’ve downloaded/made the files. I tried the connectivity tap in the overlap window. But it kept giving me an error signals saying that the data cannot be saved. Not sure whether I need to download this data to my computer first ... Currently I am connect to the data remotely.
