Thanks for your comment about the two cases and explanation about the second 
case for WebHDFS. I agree when an initial authentication like Kerberos/SPNEGO 
is passed, a DT will need to be generated and passed to the server in all 
subsequent usages. 
bq.I don't think injecting any third-party payload (e.g., OAuth tokens) into 
WebHdfsFileSystem make sense.
How about using a generic token representation and type? In HADOOP-11817 we're 
working on a new authentication handler for the generic token support for 
Hadoop Web UI and WebHDFS as well. It could be used with the {{AuthFilter}} in 
WebHDFS. Will it work in your point of view? Thanks.
