IMO, since the patch contains multi-module changes (hadoop-hdfs-client and
hadoop-hdfs),
either "mvn install" should be done on parent directory, same as "mvn
test-compile",
or, should be executed in dependency order (hadoop-hdfs-client and hadoop-hdfs).
Right?
