The issue is most definitely still there. This isn't about the Jenkins build.
Go back and re-read my last comment.
This issue and at least two others (which I need to file yet) are basically
going to be blockers to getting this branch merged. The build MUST honor the
settings controlled by maven. If it doesn't, this WILL break the build on OS X
at a minimum.
