Preliminary patch is looking good.
Very minor comments:
* -1 is starting to be used a decent amount to inidicate an invalid txn ID,
worth defining INVALID_TXNID now.
* Ditto for 0xDEADBEEF
* FSConstants et al need to be rebased on trunk
* storage.writell seems to be in the right spot in saveNamespace to me
