Allen Wittenauer commented on HDFS-12734:
-----------------------------------------

bq. HADOOP-14163 is finished (by me)

I'll go comment over there I guess.... because I firmly disagree that 14163 is
anywhere close to finished.

bq. docker images for development.

So basically, we're adding a bunch of stuff that will never see the light of
day in an Apache Hadoop release? Why does this even exist then? We've got
enough half-integrated bits hanging in the source tree.

bq. One of the reason why I prefer hugo is exactly the problems which are
introduced by npm/bower/webpack/yarn.

... except this isn't replacing those problems. Instead, it's adding another
framework so now we have those existing problems and now whatever new ones
comes with this additional framework.

> HDFS-12664 susggested a new way to include documentation in the KSM web ui.
> This patch modifies the build lifecycle to automatically generate the
> documentation *if* hugo is on the PATH. If hugo is not there the
> documentation won't be generated and it won't be displayed (see HDFS-12661)
> To test: Apply this patch on top of HDFS-12664 do a full build and check the
> KSM webui.
