There's a vote for 3.0.1 in progress, but you can contact the release manager 
([~eddyxu]) in case he rolls another RC.

bq. Any idea what's the current state with the branches? My guess is branch-2.9 
and branch-3.0.
AFAIK:
trunk -> 3.2
3.1.0 -> branch-3.1
3.0.2 -> branch-3.0
3.0.1 -> branch-3.0.1
2.10 -> branch-2
2.9.1 -> branch-2.9
