+1, I tested these changes with Acceptance test. I think we should commit the
patch-2. Even if there are things that get broken by this patch. Since the core
functionality is up, we can commit this refactor and continue fixing broken
features before release.
We will also deploy this binary based on this patch in a cluster and get some
numbers.
