Oops, we had a concurrent patch here :)
Anyway, [~ayushtkn], your proposal is to forward the requests to the Namenodes.
I was thinking on following it too but not sure what one would expect.
We could evne have a flag to set the one to retrieve the data from the Router
or from all the subclusters.
