Eli Collins commented on HDFS-3537:
-----------------------------------
Hey Nicholas,
The idea is that fuse-dfs is moving to src/main/native so it's part of the
regular native build structure (though still only built when a flag is passed),
we don't want to mix libhdfs and fuse-dfs (and any other native code we add) in
the same directory. We used to have a "libhdfs" dir where all the libhdfs code
lived, this is just reintroducing that, ie we should do this even if we don't
plan to add more native code as it makes sense for libhdfs code to live in a
directory called libhdfs.
Thanks,
Eli

> Move libhdfs source files from main/native to main/native/libhdfs. Rename
> hdfs_read to libhdfs_test_read; rename hdfs_write to libhdfs_test_write.
> The rationale is that we'd like to add some other stuff under main/native
> (like fuse_dfs) and it's nice to have separate things in separate directories.
