I have been working on reskinning the JobTracker pages in the Hadoop 1.0 branch
using Bootstrap. I have also come to pretty much the same conclusion as Haohui
that adding a REST API to serve the data and and using client-side templates
and AJAX is the way to go. I have opened HADOOP-10038 to track my JobTracker
changes. Since the key design challenge here is the interfaces, I think we
should coordinate our efforts to make this happen for both HDFS and JobTracker.
