Thanks for the comments, [~cutting]! Do you think it is possible that we can 
locate and fix these applications? Or can a lower limit of the block length be 
helpful on the performance perspective? Basically I guess variable block length 
can also improve the performance and efficiency of a lot of applications. For 
example, Hive may save up to 40% of storage that is currently cost by padding. 
Thus it will be great if we can have this feature while still keep the existing 
applications working fine.
