We also need to think about file checksum. I think we can make it consistent 
even with variable block sizes. But when we move on to the next step of 
allowing concat to work on the same way, things can get complicated.  E.g. when 
copying a file, some use cases may require duplicating the same block layout 
and the checksum settings per block.
