Authority Control and the Occult: Ethical Expectations for the NACO Contributor (Guy Frost, Valdosta State University) The literature, various email lists, blogs, and other internet sites have covered ethical approaches to cataloging, mostly focusing on the use of recording gender in bibliographic and authority records. But there are other populations that require a cautious approach to adding demographic data. In this presentation, we will explore the nuances of identity with one such group: occultists.
