Of possible interest. With apologies for cross-posting, sharing here, too.

You'll be hearing more about Hebraica contributions to EMCO Wikidata in the
upcoming cataloging committee meeting.

Thanks, Jasmin

Subject: [PCCLIST] Save the Date - January 29th for An Introduction to EMCO

*please excuse cross-posting*

The PCC Standing Committee on Membership and Programming is excited to announce
our first event of 2026! Please see below for more information:

Join PCC Identity Management Advisory Committee (IMAC) Co-Chair Crystal Yragui
for an introduction to the newest PCC program for entity management (EMCO). The
program is currently in its Early Adopter Phase, setting up scaffolding for
PCC-coordinated entity management work in registries outside the Library of
Congress Name Authority File. Current infrastructure of the program and its
Communities of Practice for ISNI, WorldCat Entities, and Wikidata will be
presented along with the EMCO Coordination Committee’s work during the Early
Adopter Phase. The EMCO program’s future goals will be shared along with
practical information for how to get involved. Everyone interested in entity
management work for GLAM communities is welcome to join EMCO regardless of
previous PCC membership or contributions to NACO, SACO, CONSER or BIBCO. The
event will conclude with a live Q&A session.

This event will take place on Thursday, January 29th from 2-3:30 pm Eastern. No
registration is required and a Zoom link will be shared as the event
approaches. The event will be recorded for those who are unable to attend. As
always, everyone is welcome to attend, not just PCC members! If you have any
questions, please contact me or Crystal Yragui ([email protected]).

We look forward to seeing you then!
