My OO is going crazy when I touch those values on the "page setup" window. not only it presents funny numbers there for the width and height of page but when I try to change them, things go wierd: when I click the mouse on the fields for updating the values jump up for the numbers there. most of my updates are getting overwritten, as soon as I press the "tab" to switch to next field, again, with funny numbers. All along the "page preview" on the left of the window shows strange rectangles for my setup (but perhaps following the funny numbers in the fields themselves).
Hi!
I wonder for some time. My OO is working really fine but one nagging thing is that it display the .doc files as such that let say, text that occupies 1 page on M$ word, on OO will occupy 1.2 (estimation) pages. in other words - its as if the "12" letters size is larger on OO than word, or similarily - that the OO A4 page is smaller than M$ word A4 page.
You can easily test the latter (also check the size of the margins).
Well, I guess I should wait for the next version due soon(?)... (I have the RC5, IIRC).
Thanks,
Boaz.
Another thing to check: inter-paragraph spacing. I think that the default of OpenOffice is more sane than the default of MS-Office .
Whats going on here? do I have to somehow setup my OO to fix this?
