I’m using OOo 1.1.1 on Win XP, set for Ivrit. I
created a very long document (42 pages) with Ivrit and English interspersed (it’s
a translation of the Talmud Yerushalmi). When I had to send it out to my client, I SAVEd as a MS Word
DOC file, but I found that the new file totally threw out the Ivrit, and
wherever there was a Hebrew letter, it now had a question mark. Thus I got
things like ????? ???? ????????. I found that if I save as RTF, MOST of it comes through, but
it messes up things like single quote marks, so that something that would read ‘DCBA comes through as DCBA’ Also, when I put the Talmudic page number in as – read
this from right to left: Bet“Ayin <space> Zayin Yod i.e., Yod Zayin Amud Bet it came through as Ayin <space> Yod Zayin”Bet In other words, the (B”) part was shifted from the
right side to the left side. Any suggestions how I can take the OO file (which is still
intact) and save it so that it can come through unharmed as a MS Word file? Many thanks, Shmuel |
