Neil, I believe you are unnecessarily trying to complicate my simple problem of ensuring that nfs file systems defined in fstab are mounted. I have 300 systems with varying NFS mount requirements. The only source of information I have regarding the mount requirements is the client's fstab. The test bundle in my original post tests grep functionality in 3 ways. As shown in the output one of the grep tests works while the other two, including the grep of fstab, return nothing.
