Nothing unusual here: root@earth:/var/cfengine/bin# cat /etc/debian_version 6.0.4 root@earth:/var/cfengine/bin# uname -a Linux earth.watson-wilson.ca 2.6.32-5-amd64 #1 SMP Mon Jan 16 16:22:28 UTC 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux root@earth:/var/cfengine/bin# env SHELL=/bin/bash TERM=xterm USER=root MAIL=/var/mail/root PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin PWD=/var/cfengine/bin LANG=en_CA SHLVL=1 HOME=/root LANGUAGE=en_CA:en LOGNAME=root DISPLAY=localhost:10.0 _=/usr/bin/env OLDPWD=/root To further point towards the user problem the key that gets sent to the server does not have the root user prefix: -MD5=7290ccdc.. It starts with '-' rather than 'root-'. I even removed this key, on the server and client and bootstrapped again. The key ended up on the server side in the same odd state. _______________________________________________ Help-cfengine mailing list Help-cfengine@cfengine.org https://cfengine.org/mailman/listinfo/help-cfengine
