There may have been a logic bomb in my policy to cause the constant update of cf_promises_validated. Now I seem to be having the opposite problem. Cpv is not updating at all. # ls -ltr /var/cfengine/inputs/ ... -rw-r----- 1 root root 900 Jul 24 14:32 promises.cf -rw------- 1 root root 24 Jul 24 14:34 cf_promises_validated # ls -ltr /var/cfengine/masterfiles ... -rw-r----- 1 root root 24 Jul 24 14:34 cf_promises_validated -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 3919 Jul 24 15:03 promises.cf Cpv is the same in masterfiles and inputs. Promises.cf newer and different in masterfiles, yet cpv is not updating. I've let cf-execd run for over an hour on the default schedule (every 5min). I've run cf-agent -K. I've run cf-execd -F.
