Yes, mine works too.  2.1.14 from Blastwave and 2.1.14 compiled from source.

Make sure you have a cfexecd.conf file that looks something like this:

control:

   smtpserver     = (mail.yourdomain.com )     # used by cfexecd
   sysadm         = ( [EMAIL PROTECTED] )  # where to mail output

my cfexecd does send email. it's 2.1.14 from blastware.

0,30 * * * * /opt/csw/sbin/cfexecd -F

I had 2.1.13 from sunfreeware, it was not sending any email because it was
dumping core.
check ~root for cores, check maillog (on smtpserver) for email attempts.
