Really? Thousands and thousands of lines of code (and man-hours of
coding) would be "awful" to you but for the few hundreds of lines of
your patches? Would you blindingly chose vi or another editor instead
of Emacs if you lacked the possibility of patching it?

I did not try to be disrespectful to all the good work done in Emacs. I
like it very much. And I choose to use Emacs.
I just said it is awful for me to use without some of the changes I have
done. (That is not to say all of them are that essential.) Is not that
fair even if you do not agree to that?
