Could you please check this version? I tried to recreate your compiler
command line arguments so that I got the warnings too; now, with make
check, I don't get warnings anymore...

Yes, I just tried it, and I can confirm that the code generated by this
gengetopt version doesn't cause gcc to spit out the type punning
warnings.
