This is very interesting. Now I am getting it, why everyone is complaining about 0.1.14. Let me get historical:

For a while there were two GNU FTP servers that were hosting gift, savannah, and ftp.gnu.org. I put the new stuff on ftp.gnu.org. Well, they apparently have been merged now, but they took the stuff from savannah. So the FTP there is in a stale state.

I will get around to this in the next few days. Say, on the weekend?

This might be a possibility. The other possibility is to check out the most current code (you will have to install the prerequisites, too).

cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[email protected]:/sources/gift co gift
(when asked for a password, just type return).
And while we're at it: Last time I visited the Medgift page (a looong while ago), it stated that Medgift was a fork of GIFT. Where can one see the source of this fork? Is it online, now?
Best,
Wolfgang

And make sure that before install gift-0.1.15b.tar, the gift- prerequisites-0.11.tar.gz is correctly installed.
cheers, Xin

I tried to install and run GIFT, but I got errors below, when i typed make.
-----------------------
make[3]: *** [CAccessorFactoryContainer.lo] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/install/gift-0.1.14/libMRML/cc' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/install/ gift-0.1.14/libMRML' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/install/gift-0.1.14' make: *** [all] Error 2
