Subject: Lilypond staff spacing.
I have problems when trying to squeeze more staffs per page than Lily is
used to. I insert
\des\interscoreline{\vskip 1pt}
in my latex envelope but for some reason latex refuses to reduce the
interscore distance below a certain value if there are slurs in the
interscore space. This happens even if a negative \vskip is specified.
When the interscore space is occupied by other symbols (e.g. bars or
\aternative marks) latex accepts the distance reduction even if this
produces a collision.
It seems there is another variable which overrides \interscoreline
in the presence of slurs.
Is this right? Can this variable's content be modified?
Thank you for your help,
