Your remark is sadly true. It would be however easier to improve
on it by adding a little explanation and an example every time that a
newbie comes in and asks
a question which is not answered in the manual, rather than to wait for
the moment when the boss wil have enough time (lilypond will have no
more any bug and be absolutely perfect at that time) and courage to write
a complete and perfect new manual ...
