I've hit a bit of a snag. 2 measures in 3/8, each has a dotted quarter
note. The first measure begins forte, with a dim to the end of the
second measure. The decrescendo mark (\> always comes out too small,
and I'm not sure how to do it. I've tried using spacer rests in a
separate voice, but this causes lilypond to segfault. I've tried
placing the \! in front of the following measure (which is a rest),
but this causes the F symbol to be printed in the middle of the treble
staff. I tried to upgrade to the latest version of lilypond (this is
1.3.46), but gcc 2.95.2 crashes with a compiler error.
If there are any suggestions for a work around or someone can point
out where my mistake is, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
sdb
