PS1: If some of you don't like Paypal either that's reasonable. I think
the FSF had some post explaining why they decided to support Paypal even
if they weren't really convinced about it. Maybe waiting until GNU Taler

We discussed the various options at hand in the last General Assembly
some months ago. I would summarize the discussion with this simple
idea: Collect broadly – make it easy – which means propose some
alternative with the hope one will suit your requirements.
For sure, we will not fix the broken world, IMHO. ;-)
Tanguy, Steve: What’s the status about donation options?
(...)
We want to add other payment platforms to make it easier for people to
donate. Generally, it's much better if people can donate through a
platform that they are 'comfortable' using.
The one I've looked at the most closely is OpenCollective [0] which is
already used by some of our community [1]
We're also aiming to add recurring contributions so that those that can
afford to support our ongoing expenses have a low maintenance way of
doing so. It's not going to be for everyone, but for those that can a
recurring contribution is great because then we can match up our
expenses with our donations so that we can move the project towards
being sustainable.
